You must have heard your child make up a story that has never happened, but you must have been impressed by their imagination in coming up with such a unique story, right? Children in grades 2 and 3 will learn how to write a story. As their imagination and creativity develop, children will also learn to master the skill of “how to tell a story”.
It’s National Tell A Story Day and to celebrate this day while boosting your child’s writing skills, we have created a few fun activities in the below writing worksheets.
Storytelling skill doesn’t come naturally to children. They need to be taught through constant practice of reading stories together, having conversations, asking open-ended questions like, “then what happened,” and inspiring them to write new stories in the form of short sentences.
