Pie is America's dessert. "As American as apple pie" is often used to gauge a product's or situation's Americanness.

January 23 is National Pie Day. It was started by a nuclear engineer from Colorado who loved pie so much that he named his birthday after his favorite food!    

Baked with a light crust and a choice of filling (there are even pies with meat out there!), pies are comfort food for many of us. With that in mind, we have something special for your child today.
