March is National Reading Month, celebrated in honor of Dr. Seuss. He was a well-known author and storyteller who inspired young children to read and enjoy reading. His birthday, March 2nd, is also Read Across America day. With that in mind, we’ve curated a free calendar filled with fun reading activities for your child, so they can be inspired to read every day in the month of March.
March is a wonderful month of reading as we bid goodbye to the harsh, cold winter and welcome the onset of spring. Everything from the grass to little birds and animals come out to play, and so will the children. It is a time for new beginnings, so we invite you to kick-start a reading habit in your child.
Here is a fun March Reading Calendar for your kids and a bonus tracker chart. The free calendar has 31 fun reading activities for children.
You can mark these activities “done” by having your child color the flower for each date on the tracker once they complete the activity.
