Summer Crafts: Make waves With DIY Shark Craft

As summer rolls in, it can be the perfect time for kids to engage in fun summer crafts and explore their creativity. If your little learner loves the ocean and its amazing creatures, why not try this fun shark craft with them?

Materials needed:

• Blue construction paper
• Black and white paper
• Scissors
• Glue stick
• Black or any other colored pen or marker

Steps to make a DIY shark craft in 6 easy steps

Step 1: Take the blue construction paper and guide your kid to draw a circle and the shape of the shark’s two fins on the side and its tail fin, as shown in the image below.

Step 2: Now help your kid draw two small circles on white paper and even smaller circles on black paper. After that, cut out the images drawn on the blue cardstock, black paper, and white paper. While using scissors, make sure you are closely supervising your kid.

Step 3: Now, as shown in image 3, your kid can fold the cut-out blue cardstock in half. 

Step 4: Then, stick the black circles on the white circle to have your googly eyes! Suggest your kid use the glue to stick the googly eyes on the right end of the folded blue cardstock.

Step 5: As the next step, your kid can stick the top and bottom fins and the tail as shown in the image.

Step 6:  Now, using a black pen or marker, ask your kid to draw some scales, a mouth, and anything else they want to add. Let your kid add their own unique decorations if needed.
