Imagine your child trying to write “Merry Christmas” on a Christmas card, but they end up writing “Marry Christmas.” Before you start correcting an error like this, you can use this opportunity to teach them the difference between the words “merry” and “marry.” As children start including more words in their vocabulary, they might sometimes goof up.

So, let’s use Day 11 of the 25 days of learning series to discuss how we can teach children about commonly confused homophones and what they mean.

Download the FREE printable for your child to practice their homophones during this winter break.
